In February 2009 Old Wilsonians Cricket Club, Bromley, embarked on plans for a four bay practice area on an area of land obtained from neighbouring sport field.
After initial schemes were drawn up and estimates prepared the club decided to work with Groundcare to persue a scheme using Verde Sports Cricket systems.
The area consisted of an old macadam tennis court with bushes and scrubland adjacent, all of which had become derelict over the years. Planning objections by adjacent residents delayed the project and the club was forced to add a noise baffling fence to the project but after two years Bourne Amenity moved in to clear and level the area.
Once cleared Groundcare moved in to install two Premier and two Test Match batting ends, surround surfacing extending to 34m over the run ups and a 21.96m heavy duty frame.
