Super Verdegrass Cricket Wicket

Super Verdegrass is a heavy duty, closely tufted short pile surface, well suited to situations of heavy traffic. Its ideal as a budget cricket surface as it provides good playability without its longevity being compromised.

It is an excellent choice for Practice Batting Ends and Bowlers Run ups.  A cost effective option for Cricket Club Practice Nets of varying sizes.

The Super Verdegrass Cricket Wicket is a firm favourite for home practice facilities and should be installed complete with our Shockpad AP10.  For quick and easy installation, combine this with our Premier Pad to reduce the amount of sub-base contruction required.

Its knit-de-knit non-slip polypropylene construction creates a durable product that has been on the market for nearly 40 years. The options are endless due to its hard wearing polypropylene fibres.

Super Verdegrass is used in cricket for a basic playing surface for people who want to be able to practice cricket to a high standard but don't have the budget for a premium playing surface. However, it can also be used for other applications such as golf course pathways, bridges, and football tunnels. Read about Super Verdegrass' other applications here.

When installing Super Verdegrass for Cricket it should be installed in conjunction with our Shockpad AP10 to create the correct ball bounce and playing characteristics

The sub-base should be that of an unbound construction such as crushed stone that is free draining.  Further instructions should be sought for this base prior to carrying out your installation.

The use of our Premier Pad beneath the Super Verdegrass and Shockpad AP10, can assist in the creation of a facility that is consistant and reduce the depth to which you need to build your sub-base.
