Summer 26 Review

April – Vernon Carus Cricket Club

We kicked off the summer with a new match pitch installed by LFP Environmental, providing the club with a fantastic space to host junior matches and practice sessions, supporting the next generation of cricketers.

May – Wigan Cricket Club

Working alongside Cover Solutions, we completed a new three-lane, fully enclosed practice facility featuring our ECB-approved Test Match and Premier Systems. Finished in distinctive black and tan carpet, the facility provides a modern, versatile training environment for players of all abilities.

June – Battersea Park

After 15 years of use, Battersea Park’s three-lane practice facility received a major refurbishment. The project included three new ECB-approved Premier System surfaces, upgraded shockpads and reinforced batting and bowling ends to improve durability and performance.

July – Standish Cricket Club

As part of the club’s wider investment programme, we installed a new three-lane, fully enclosed practice facility featuring our ECB-approved Premier and Test Match Systems. Finished in two-tone olive and dark green carpet, the facility provides a high-quality training environment for junior and senior players alike.

August – Fylingdales Cricket Club

Set in the beautiful surroundings of the North York Moors, Fylingdales welcomed a new one-lane practice facility featuring our ECB-approved Premier System, supplied by Verde Cricket and installed by LFP Environmental.

The facility has already proved a huge success, with club chairman Ben Noble commenting: “It’s literally been used every single day!!! Old and young love it… so thank you!!”

September – Lancaster Cricket Club

To round off the summer, we refurbished Lancaster Cricket Club’s existing practice facility with new surfacing and shockpads, improvements to the base and a four-metre extension to the run-ups. Finished with our ECB-approved Premier System and two-tone olive and tan carpet, the upgraded facility is ready to support players for seasons to come.

Looking ahead to winter and 2027

A huge thank you to all our customers and clubs for choosing Verde Sports Cricket this summer, and to our installation partners for their continued hard work.

Although summer has drawn to a close, projects continue throughout the winter. We still have availability for winter installations and projects planned for 2027, so if you’re considering a new practice facility or renovation, get in touch with the Verde team to start planning for the season ahead.
